Laboratory of Applied Informatics and Quantitative Data Analysis

The laboratory was founded according to the depertment's research strategy  (Official Gazette No. 768/B/2016)

Laboratory Objectives

The objectives of the laboratory include the research needs of the department, the development and innovation of specialized education within the scope of its role in scientific areas of Applied Informatics and Quantitative Data Analysis.

More specifically the aims of the laboratory are the following:

1. The cooperation with research centers and universities
2. The participation in postgraduate research activities in the field of Laboratory of Applied Informatics and Quantitative Data Analysis
3. The development of specialized databases amtching with the department's research activities.
4. The inter-disciplinary research with other departments of TEI Peloponnese
5. The participation and organization of cobferences, summer schools and seminars

Research field
The research fields of the laboratory are the following:

1. Computer applications in economic, finance, management and social disciplines
2. Management Information Systems and Internet Technologies
3. E-Business and Digital Marketing
4. Operations Research
5. Statistics and Bio-Statistics
6. Big-data management and analysis

Premises - Facilities

The premisies of the laboratory are in room 94-1 while the servers are hosted by the Network Operation Center.
